Just because they're older doesn't mean seniors don't like to have fun! When traveling to a new city or exploring the city they live in, seniors enjoy discovering new places and attractions. However, not all attractions are senior friendly. Here are some activities that seniors and their families will enjoy in the Dallas area.

Dallas Museum of Art

The Dallas Museum of Art is free and open to the public! It is one of the largest museums across the country and is sure to have art that seniors will love. Plus, they offer tours that highlight famous works of art and interesting facts about artists and the museum itself. The museum is also wheelchair accessible for seniors with limited mobility.

M-Line Trolley Ride

Take a trolley ride through Dallas! Enjoy seeing downtown and all the shops, restaurants, and people. Seniors will love getting to see the city without having to walk far. The volunteer employees are happy to share information and stories about the historic city.

Dallas Arboretum

Many seniors enjoy nature, and the Dallas Arboretum offers them the chance to explore beautiful botanical gardens. And this garden is a cut above the rest. The Dallas Arboretum is one of the top arboretums in the world! It is also a venue for events, concerts, and other activities for the whole family.

Dallas World Aquarium

Seeing colorful fish can actually help seniors feel calm and relaxed, making the Dallas World Aquarium a great attraction! Because the aquarium is indoors, it's a great option for seniors who are exploring Dallas on a hot summer day. Seniors get a discount here too.

Dallas Zoo

To see even more animals, try visiting the Dallas Zoo. The zoo is close to downtown Dallas and has 106 acres. With over 2,000 animals here, seniors will love seeing animals interact with each other and the other guests at the zoo.
